The floods in the Wales and the South of England are appalling. Our thoughts are with the individuals and businesses that are suffering at the hands of this exceptional weather. While the rain continues to fall and the water levels continue to rise, flood defence is the focus.
Once the waters have subsided the big clear-up will start. People will want to get back to some form of normality as quickly as possible. We hope that’s where we will be able to help. In our range of machines there are a number that are ideally suited to clearing roads and cleaning floors.
Floor scrubbers are fantastic at clearing liquid spills and leave the floor spotlessly clean, having collected the waste water. Their road going counterparts are equally effective. If you have a factory that has had its floor flooded a scrubber drier will collect water from all the low spots in the floor and remove the detritus left by the flood water. Not a pleasant thought but an effective solution to the problem.
Good luck to all those affected. Let us know if we can help.
Due to the ongoing success of the Spring Cash Back campaign, we are delighted to announce that we will be running this successful campaign again in 2014. And like 2013, we will be running it from Feb 1st to June 30th.
Applying to the full line-up of Kubota model T and GR ride-on mowers this scheme will help those wishing to renew or upgrade their lawn tractor at the start of spring. Short of offering a free rowing boat with outboard motor this must be one of the best offers gardeners will get this spring!
To further encourage existing Kubota users wishing to upgrade we are offering extremely good trade-in offers for used Kubota products: Whether they are lawn mowers or indeed tractors, we are very keen to obtain good used Kubota machines.
Visit the Kubota section of our website to get more information or email email@example.com who will be happy to send more information. If you can’t wait and want to talk to someone now call Graham on 07860 188600.

The picture on the left shows a typical ride-on floor scrubber or scrubber drier as the industry sometimes refers to them. Nothing particularly special about it except maybe its size which is substantial, but we will come back to that.
Why a Floor Scrubber?
As the most popular type of cleaning machine the floor scrubber is also the most effective. By combining mechanical cleaning with a cleaning fluid a floor scrubber will produce floors that are spotlessly clean. The machine’s water collection system also makes sure they are dry almost instantly and therefore safe. The additional benefit of this is that waste water and its pollutants are collected and disposed of properly.
How Does A Floor Scrubber Work?
If you need a floor scrubber understanding the principles of how they work will help you get the right machine and get the most from it. The schematic shows how the major components are arranged in our sample machine, click to enlarge. Brushes at the front, water collection system, affectionately known as a squeegee, at the back with the operator sitting at the front for ease of use. Under the body work we have two large tanks, the batteries and some motors. One of the motors provides traction the other vacuum for the water collection system. One tank is for clean water the other for waste water.
As the floor scrubber moves forward the cleaning solution is dispensed into the brushes and onto the floor. The brushes rotate and scrub the floor loosening and lifting the dirt. The water and the dirt are sucked up by the squeegee and pumped into the waste water tank. There are however a number of important variables in this process, namely the speed of the vehicle, the speed and pressure of the scrubbing process, the amount and make-up of the cleaning solution and the number of passes you make over the floor. Also the number and style of scrubbing brush can be specified. Each one of these is very important and we will be examining each in later posts.

Our RTV driving day was a great success! Sixty invited guests enjoyed a wonderfully sunny day playing in the mud at Rockingham Castle putting our fleet of RTVs to the test.
With a range of vehicles to drive and different courses to experience guests were able to see for themselves the abilities of the Kubota RTV. As James Counsell an exiting customer pointed out: “It was enormously valuable to be able to try the full range of these remarkable vehicles in such demanding surroundings, and to talk to other customers. It is this investment in pre-service that really makes Euromec stand out from the crowd. Plus, the chilli was delicious!”
Yes the food was excellent and the hospitality arrangements seemed to be just right for the day. A biting wind kept the clouds away and also increased demand for hot drinks, not that Sarah and her helpers ever looked under pressure.
Andrew Harding of Qube Management attended: “Qube Property Management has enjoyed a great relationship with Euromec for several years and have purchased a number of the Kubota RTV Vehicles from them for our client’s developments to mainly tow refuse bins from below ground storage area. We are delighted to be invited to test the vehicles in an off road capacity which is something none of our client’s vehicles ever do. So we had a great time testing them to their full ability! It was a great day and we will be recommending further vehicles purchases in 2014.”
This was the first such event we have run at Rockingham dedicated to the off road utility vehicles in our product range. Given the success and that a number of our other partners are interested in doing something similar it will not be the last. If you are interested in hearing about future events email firstname.lastname@example.org and ask to be put on our mailing list.
Together with Kubota we have organised a unique off-road driving experience at RockinghamCastle on the 14th November 2013. Featuring the whole range of the excellent Kubota RTVs this event is open to invited guests only so if you would like to come you need to let us know as soon as possible by emailing email@example.com.
The object of the day is simple; we want to give all our guests the opportunity of driving at least one if not all four RTVs around the infamous Land Rover Experience track at RockinghamCastle.
Renown for its slippery slopes, deep gullies and adverse cambers this course will test the abilities of even the most experienced driver and will graphically illustrate the go-anywhere, cross-anything qualities of the RTV. There will be instructors there all day to ensure that everyone is safe and they will be happy to give one-to-one driving advice, time allowing.
Refreshments will be available all day together with a hot buffet. Proceedings start around 11.00 and will go on until around 4.00pm.
This unique experience is for invited guests only and numbers are limited, so email annie as soon as you can if you are interested in attending.
We sell hundreds of machines a year and this means we have a buoyant second hand business. Customers will often want to upgrade or replace machines before they are at the end of their useful life so we willingly take their old machine in part exchange. Once we have the used machine we give it a thorough inspection, strip down and service parts where necessary and then put it up for sale.
Pre-Owned Cleaning Machines
Pre-owned sweeping and scrubbing machines make up a large part of our second hand fleet. These may well be long term hire machines returned at the end of the contract or machines part exchanged when a customer upgrades. Regardless a common feature is that the working hours will be low for the age of the machine and it will be a long way from the end of its working life. Wearing parts such as brushes and filters may have needed replacing but otherwise the machine will be sound and capable of providing many years of reliable service.
To sell our machines we often have to demonstrate them. We have a large demonstration fleet just for this purpose. These machines have to be replaced before they are too old or when a new model comes along. Machines retired from our demo fleet are the pearls in our bargain basement. These ex-dem sweepers and scrubbers will have very low hours and will have been finely fettled and cared for. If you can get one they are a great bargain, as good as new but offering a significant saving on the new price.
Our second hand machines are listed on our website in the Bargain Basement section. Ordered by price, at the time of writing there are about 30 machines available. In a later post we will explain in greater detail what we do to bring the machines in our bargain basement up to scratch, but in the meantime if you see one you are interested in call us – it won’t be there long.
If you consider that £70 million worth of plant and agricultural equipment is stolen every year with 95% never being recovered it’s clear that agricultural machinery tracking is vitally important to protect your assets.
We have teamed with TRACKER and now offer specially designed tracking products for agricultural machinery and will fit tracking devices to customers machines prior to delivery when required. This simple and cost effective step can reduce your insurance premiums by up to 25% and significantly increases the chance of your getting your plant back if you are unlucky enough to be the victim of theft.
Farm equipment tracking allows you to receive alerts when vehicles or machinery is removed from your premises. This means you can alert the authorities more quickly giving them a head start in recovering your equipment. This gets you back to work faster and minimises disruption and loss of earnings, especially at crucial periods like harvest.
As a leading distributor of Kubota tractors and commercial mowers we see this as a great additional service we are offering our customers. Our partnership with Tracker will be officially unveiled at Burghley Horse Trials, the first weekend of September. Additional information is available on our website in the Kubota section.
As this is being written there are only 19 days until Burghley. Wow its come around quickly; is summer really over? As before we are going to be there with a wide range of relevant vehicles. Centre stage will be our range of Kubota RTVs. Recently expanded there are now four models to choose from with a variety of engine sizes, people carrying and load carrying capabilities. See us on stand B58 for more information and to kick their tyres so to speak.
Other machines on our lot will be a wide range of high quality ride-on mowers from Kubota, Stiga and Mountfield along with some Mountfield walk behinds. Also in attendance will be a few Kubota compact tractors and our RCM hard surface sweepers.
So treat yourself to a great day out – or even make a weekend of it and come visit us on stand B58, yes that’s stand B58. We will have refreshments and some very comfortable chairs for you to take a welcome break. See you there.
Recently we were doing some publicity shots for the Kubota RTV range we sell and this was one of the shots we got.
No It Didn’t
Despite what it looks like the RTV just carried on regardless of the deeper than anticipated rut. At the time it didn’t seem that dramatic but as the picture shows the water nearly covered the rear wheel and the RTV was pitched at a remarkable lean angle. Nicky, the driver seems quite calm too so all in a day’s work then! What a brilliant illustration of the capability of these machines.
The range of Kubota RTVs has been expanded so we are selling even more of these tough, versatile machines. If you want to know more then visit our website. We are presently adding some videos shot during the day so look out for more hills, ruts and muddy action, coming soon to a computer screen near you.
