Our History
Euromec’s founder Peter Crewe started Euromec in 1986, originally selling the Italian RCM range of sweepers and scrubber dryers from his home. This was a new venture for RCM but with Euromec’s help, it quickly built a solid UK customer base. This has helped RCM to develop one of today’s market leading ranges of cleaning machines, along with a global dealer network of which Euromec is proud to be part of.

Moving the business into a small industrial unit on the Welland Business Park, in 1990, buoyed by strong sales, Peter saw an opportunity to grow the business and moved into a new unit on the same estate. The new unit was four times larger than the original one and gave the company scope to open a showroom where it could display its products to greater effect.
To this day, we are proudly the sole UK importers of industrial sweepers and scrubber dryers from RCM Italy, who have been designing and manufacturing machines since 1970.
In 2007, the company expanded further by establishing its Groundcare division after recognising the growing market for landscape gardening, along with municipal and commercial ground maintenance such as golf courses and resort hotels. It took on a supply contract with Kubota for its groundcare range, adding to this supply agreements with STIGA and Mountfield before in 2020, expanding further by taking out a main dealer supply agreement with Honda for its mowers and power products.
In 2020, with the country entering lockdown due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Euromec took the opportunity to refocus the business going forward. The move saw Peter take a more backseat role concentrating on the Groundcare side of the business. The was followed by the appointment of Graham Hill as new Managing Director. Graham first joined Euromec more than 30 years ago, starting out as an Engineer in 1988 before becoming Sales Director in 1998.
Assisting Graham are new Finance Director Maria Griffiths, who started as our Company Accountant back in 2002, and fellow Director Nikki Heighton, who joined the firm in 2007, firstly working in the service department before progressing to Area Sales Manager.
It was with great sadness in October 2022, that Euromec’s founder, Peter Crewe sadly passed away, leaving a considerable legacy and with the management team Peter put in place, Euromec has continued to grow, a strategy that has seen it expand its Groundcare division with not one, but two new supply agreements. Firstly, Euromec is now an authorised main dealer for the ISEKI range of compact tractors and mowers, while the newest brand in the Euromec stable is Corvus, a company producing exciting all-terrain vehicles.

The company is now primed for further growth and looks forward to continuing to serve its loyal customers for many years to come.
